She was born on thursday & mother & baby are fine. my nephew is 1 proud poppa, & my brother is now a grandfather. my sis & I are getting a big kick out of that! I have found a pretty afghan to get started on & it's getting late so will have to make this short.

my projects

heres the progress I've made on the color waves afghan & my 1st pair of socks. It was an easy pattern but I managed to goof it up & had to frog the last one from the toe closing all the way down to the gusset. The pix of Jessie's sock isn't very clear, it has a cute little ruffle on it.

it's late

and I can't sleep, I'm just not sleepy! Today hubby & Jillian had their mandolin lesson. it's getting close to being over. One more practice at the park where the fest is going to be, then the next week they perform at he R.O.M.P. river of music party. we decided that next year all of us are going to learn to play something. Jaimie wants to play the fiddle, so i might do that with her. The link to fest is on the right if you'd like to check it out. I also figured out what I'm going to do with the extra afghan(waves of color) that I have. I am going to make it up & donate it to the bluegrass museum to be put in a silent auction. all the lessons have been free & this is a way for me to pay back or help keep up the lessons for us & others who wouldn't otherwise get the chance to learn. Not really sure how much the afghan would bring in but maybe it will get a few bucks anyway.
It's cooled down here at night but it's been stuffy inside. Was a pretty day today. after the lessons, the girls great aunt took the to a dulcimer fest & then to Dairy queen. hubby went fishing,
big shock there! I finshed off my 1st pair of socks, and yeah I know I said I'd get a picture on but haven't yet. I started a pair for Jessie in yellow. I thought the 1st was pretty easy but I did have to frog the 1st because of dropping stiches & miscounting my rows.
I'm going now to get the camera, & here's hoping the batteries work!
