Fat Tuesday

Well one more day of sweets. I think it's going to be tough but it's the least I can sacrifice compared to what My Lord and Savior gave for us. and I will also be able to shed some of these lbs. that I've gained over the last few months.
Hubby was given the day off today after going to pick up a load & the plant was out of the product. So, we took the 4-runner in for new brakes and 2 front rotors. Now he is on his way to pick it up & take it to get new tires.
yesterday was Jessie's first dentist trip and it was not good. She has 5 cavities that need to be filled and 1 that has to be "wiggled" out he said. Poor thing, she is the one who brushes her teeth more & doesn't eat as many sweet as Jillian & Jaimie & has all the problems. But he also said to make sure she flosses because that's where the cavities are-in between where the brush can't get. She did get them cleaned and they gave her a chart to mark each time she brushes and flosses. She is trying even harder & has finally gotten the concept of what I've been trying to tell her, leave those mountain dews alone! Jaimie & Jillian will get their teeth cleaned when Jess goes to get her teeth filled & pulled.
hubby just called and said they didn't charge as much as we thought for the brakes and rotors yeah!
well I gotta get off here and get myself cleaned up, gotta go to the school to pick up girls scout cookie orders. woouldn't you know we get them right here at Lent! oh well I can always freeze some.

Valentine's day

here are the purses I made, finally got them off my camera! All the girls love them! thanks again to http://suzies-yarnie-stuff.blogspot.com/2007/01/my-valentine-purse_22.html Suzetta. Jillian's and Jaimie's are made a little different. I put a pin on the back of the hearts so they can replace them with a bunny pin for Easter. they got a 2/4 out of it.

Hubby and I spoiled them even more by getting them some candy too. then when I went to take my neighbor's mail to here, she had a tin with chocolates for them. grandma stopped by & brought cupcakes for the girls with heart rings in them & a heart shaped cake for me. I thought it was a donut but it was more like iced angel food. Was putting me off my diet but 1 day isn't going to hurt. the girls will have enough candy to last 'til the Easter bunny comes.

I also treated them to a clean room, whew! what a job! Jaimie & jessie's room wasn't too bad but Jillian's looked a tornado ripped thru it. Just hope they can keep it that way for at least a few days!

Me again

well life has settled down even though we do still keep busy on weekends. The girls have been busy selling Girl Scout cookies & we will soon be running everywhere to deliver them. I haven't done anymore knitting or crocheting since my last post. Just helping Jaimie finish her plastic canvas valentine mailbox. speaking of Valentines dear hubby got me the locket I was wanting. It's heart shaped with roses & a cross on the front & the girls got me some heart shaped earrings. We went to eat at Texas Roadhouse for our Valentine dinner on Friday since he won't be here more than likely on the day itself. We got some nice things for the girls too, took them to play at Aladins castle arcade. was nice to be able to get out & do something as a family for a change. Hunting season is over & fishing won't start for at least another month, too cold right now so we should have a few more weekends like that. Might even get to take a little road trip to Michaels!

Still haven't had the chance to get those pictures of my work but will try to later tonight.

I finally mmanaged to get time back on here! Christmas & just life in general have kept me very busy. Everyone here is well for a change.
I'm not babysitting much anymore, too much drama with the parents.

It has been pretty cold here the last few weeks, but I am trying to get out & walk for at least 15 minutes a day, trying to get back into shape. Have really let myself go lately.
