good morning

I got up early this morning thinking we were going to miss the bus, jumped up like a scared rabbit, then I realized it was Saturday so tried to go back to sleep. Jillian had gotten up and Tanner decided to get up close, right in my face. So.... I'm up. My coffee maker quit working the other day so i have to either get creative on how to make my coffee or use my espresso/cappucino maker. I heat water on the stove and fill the coffee maker filter thingy up, then I reheat in microwave when I want another cup. It's cold here this morning but is supposed to warm up, hubby isn't home yet & hopefully he'll mow the grass. I've been pretty lazy this week and haven't done much of anything but crochet. I made one shrug and am working on another. Will post a picture when I get it finished.
Kids are all up, Jaimie made everyone breakfast, and they are outside now. I need more coffee!

I guess i've just been plain lazy about keeping up my blog! I've been far from lazy doing other things tho. Made some dishcloths & started on a sweater & crochet shrug. Have taken the shrug out several times even tho it's an easy pattern to follow. I just didn't get the gauge right or forgot to do 2 stitches in one. school started last month & Jaimie has made star student already, Jessie got picked to go on a field trip to the summit country club to swim for following school rules, (and came home sick) and Jillian just got nominated to be in a 6 day music program after school. .
Tomorrow J goes to take the civil service test, hopefully to get on at OMU. Hunting season has started and that's where he is now. Temps have been cooler than normal for this time of yr. I really have been enjoying that especially since I can turn off the air & cut down on electric bill.
I keep the t.v.s off during the day too & just sit & knit or crochet or do house/yard work. I need to mow the grass, yuck. won't be long and that will be done for the yr. Kids come home with plenty of noise to make & lots of homework. It is easier to get work done since I'm not babysitting.
I've got a pot of pinto/great northern beans on so I'm off to make some cornbread to go with it.
